Telnet and SSH Client

PuTTy is a open source free software SSH and Telnet client for Windows and Unix platforms. PuTTy is commonly used to connect your home PC running on Windows (PuTTy is also available for Mac) with a remote server or computer via Telnet or SSH. PuTTy enables the user to directly communicate with a Unix server from any location.

PuTTY supports SSH and provides a secure shell by encrypting transferred information making it more secure than Telnet. Contact your server administrator to find out if your server is SSH enabled.
