What is Java Script?

Java Script is a scripting language which can add very useful functions and interactivity to your website. Commonly used Java Scripts include drop down menus, interactive forms, graphic effects, pop up windows, and scripts to create cookies and slide show effects.

Java Script works in all major web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Netscape.

Java Script is free to use for everyone and does not require a license.

Java Script and Java is not the same!
Java Script is a scripting language that allows web designers and developers to add code to HTML pages in order to increase functionality and visual effects in websites. Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems and far more complex than Java Script.
